Are you a passionate Xamarin/iOS developer wanting to make a difference in people’s lives with the technology you are working on?
This really is a heart-warming opportunity; you’ll be working on an iOS application that is giving people with learning difficulties and speech impairments more independence and giving them a voice through their app!
We love working with Tech4Good companies here at SR2, so naturally are super excited to have partnered up with this business to help them fill this unique position.
They are a family run business that has been going strong for 12 years, with 3 different office locations globally and a 40/60 gender split throughout the company, which I’m sure we can all agree is rare to see within a software company. Diversity & gender equality is at the forefront of their priorities as a business which is great to see.
Their employees are working collaboratively together to give people with speech and learning disabilities a better way
You will be updating, maintaining and adding new features to their iOS application that is being used by people with disabilities on a tablet/iPad. The software uses both touch and eye detection technology. The codebase is written in Xamarin, so experience within that is essential.
The app has been built by an iOS engineer, but more recently maintained by their devs inhouse (who aren’t iOS experts) so it is needing some love + attention by someone who truly understands Apple/iOS products.
You will be releasing new updates monthly and it has been built with a Xamarin Native cross-platform codebase.
You’ll be taking part in code reviews, some pair programming, they follow a waterfall/Agile approach and have team meetings every 2 weeks to discuss how things are going and how they can improve.
Office location is central Bristol, surrounded by independent coffee shops and some yummy lunch spots. So, if you’re looking for something new, exciting and to be part of a family then get in touch with me because we are looking for someone to start as soon as poss!
If you apply directly, I will be in touch with more information or please reach out to Steph at SR2 for more details.
