Are you passionate about waste management and environmental projects? Whether you are a current waste expert or early on in your career, Radioactive Waste Management has an opportunity for a Waste Management Specialist to join them as they continue to grow.
You will support the team by providing waste management advice through working with waste producers on development on waste management solutions and the delivery of quality disposability assessments. As a Waste Management Specialist, you will use your knowledge of waste packaging, as well as potential options, for packaging waste from new reactors in the UK.
In addition, you will be responsible for:
* Management of individual disposability assessments including scheduling, resourcing, costs and customer expectations.
* Assessing waste packaging proposals responsibly against RWM standards and specifications, and the geological disposal concept, following due process.
* Representing RWM and promoting understanding of the RWM safety cases during early dialogue and after issue of disposability assessments
* Managing customer-driven requirements that require changes to the geological disposal concept designs and safety case through the Disposal System Change Control process, or further research and development.
You will use your communication skills to identify requirements within RWM, contribute to and manage resolution, as well as maintain the relationship with the supplier of the technical services. Salary: £35000 – £45000/annum
