Adecco are working in partnership with Serco to recruit candidates to work as Universal Credit Helpline Advisors from the comfort of your own home. You would need to collect relevant IT equipment from a Serco office (predominately Manchester or Liverpool) in order to fulfil this position.
Universal Credit is a means-tested benefit for people of working-age who are on a low income. It replaces six existing means-tested benefits: Income Support. Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) Housing Benefit. Child Tax Credit. It is a monthly payment to assist with living costs.
The role involves taking in-coming calls from the general public with regards to all manner of queries around their UC benefits. This is an open ended temporary position, with no defined end date. The opening hours of the Helpline are 8am – 6pm (Mon-Fri) and you would work a 37.5 hour shift pattern across these opening hours.
This role pays £8.72 per hour and will increase to £8.91 from 1st April 2021.
The first intake of this campaign starts on 24th March but in order to ensure that you have the correct IT access and equipment, we need to interview and make offers by Friday 26th February.
