UK Tax Manager, Corporation Tax, Global Software Group – Full Time –

My client are a global software group with a UK portfolio of around 40 companies (£40m turnover). A technology partner of over 60,000 customers worldwide in more than 30 countries, they are continuing to expand through acquisitions.
Reporting to the Director, Central Finance & Administration the UK Tax Manager is a newly created position as the company are bringing Corporation Tax in-house. It’s primary responsibility will be to ensure the UK Group meets its various statutory and regulatory obligations, to promote best practice with respect to corporation and value added tax and ensuring compliance with legislation.
Corporation tax
·Review, finalisation and filing of UK statutory tax computations for the UK group
·Review, finalisation, filing and support on R&D claims for the UK group
·Prepare group tax position (AIA and loss relief) for all UK Companies, liaising with other UK divisions and managing the process
·UK group tax planning and liaising with head office on planning matters
·Internal group tax reporting, including review and finalisation of quarterly tax packs
·To ensure compliant with tax regulations such as MDR
·Ad hoc support on group structuring and transfer pricing
·Support with tax accounting for statutory reporting process.
·Review, consolidation and filing of VAT returns
·Management of oversees registrations
·Monitoring changes in UK tax law and implementation.
·Supporting UK staff with tax queries and their tax understanding
·Improving processes and best practice
·Management of tax payments
·Support and advice on due diligence work and NTA audits as part of acquisition process
·Liaising with consultants and teams in other jurisdictions to ensure compliant as we continue to acquire companies outside of the UK and grow.
·ACCA/ACA/CTA qualification
·Relevant tax experience in an audit firm or corporation
·People management, leadership and mentoring skills
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·Project management skills
·Confident on Microsoft office suite
·Experience in tax software
·Experience in the software or high tech industry is an asset.
