Michael Page Manufacturing are working in partnership with a leading building products manufacturer in Derbyshire. They are looking for a Customer focused Technical Support Engineer to support the business and be part of a remotely worked customer focused technical department.
Our customer is focused our building strong relationships with its manufacturing customers across the UK and this role will be working with their customer base in the East Midlands.
Description
The Technical Support Engineer will be the interlink between the business and the manufacturer and assuring all machines are tooled and calibrated correctly, they will also:
Conduct technical audits of customer facilities and potential new business sites
Give technical support to the sales team on new product lines
Lead product training and support the set up of new machinery
Work closely with the customer at all levels of the organisation – Manufacturing businesses
Implement an improvement programme across all sites
Respond to technical question across the whole product supply chain. Fabricators to end customers.Profile
The successful candidates will have
A Technical skill set is preferred – HNC/HND but would consider other hands-on technical backgrounds
Knowledge in the PVC-u, Windows, Doors, Fabrication or the Building products market is essential
Knowledge of Machinery / Installations / Manufacturing / Product testing is preferred
A strong communicator at all levels who is comfortable with delivering product training
A team player who is able to share industry knowledge and best practice
A self starting mentality and able to manage their own diaryJob Offer
