Technical Author – Full Time –

Salary Range: £35-£40 per hour – 2 Month Contract

Location: Middlesex, UK, with potential remote working

A Technical Author is required for a flight data systems company near Middlesex. Candidates with Aerospace experience and with experience of writing Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) would be very well received.

Due to a new project, our client in Middlesex require a Technical Author with experience of writing Component Maintenance Manuals. We are ideally looking for someone with Aerospace experience. This will be a 2 month contract to begin with.

As a Technical Author you will be required to:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Interpret software specifications and definitions

Be efficient with Microsoft Word & Excel to produce documentation on a daily basis
To write the Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) for a newly developed, certified and now entering into service range of flight recorders covering Flight Data Recorder (FDR) Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) and combined Cockpit Voice Recorder and Flight Data Recorder (CVFDR).
Produce the manual to be used by authorised repair stations for in-service support covering test and repair.
You will not need to be a technical expert on the subject matter as we have those people in house and the person will be expected to liaise with them to compile the document
The Technical Author should have the following skills or experience:

Have technical author background in the field of aerospace technical publications, preferably CMMs for avionics and/or flight recorders
Experience writing component maintenance manuals (CMM)
