The company are rapidly growing its software engineering team due to existing and new project wins!
The team will be specialising and focussing on signal processing, and solutions that fit into agreed architectural frameworks, meets all functional, and performance requirements.
As the Software Team Lead, you will provide both line management skills and software component delivery skills. In addition as Software Team Lead you will provide hands-on development experience to your team as needed, and contribute with a broad range of software disciplines from design, coding, testing, integration, build systems and configuration management to the software focused Work Packages that you are responsible for.
Engineering Degree in a related discipline for example; Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or Computer Science.
Breadth of exposure across software technologies (C/C++ preferably)
High Level languages, C++
Signal Processing, DSP
Formal Software Design Methodology, (UML, OOA, OOD, Enterprise Architect)
An awareness of Unit Test frameworks and implementation of (automated) unit testing.
GIT, Jenkins, Jira Experience of leading software engineering teams to deliver into complex systems as part of fixed price contracts.
Experience across the whole project lifecycle applying an appropriate balance between agile and V model approaches.
Autonomy in making day to day decisions regarding cost, schedule, efficiency, and quality of engineering project activities.
Proven technical leadership or line management experience.
Parallel Multithreaded Processing
Experience in the defence domain.
