Senior Support Coordinator – Housing related Support Services

Pay rate: £13 per hour – After 12 weeks you will also be paid an additional + 5 hours per week for Lunch

Locations: Essex – Colchester CO1 2LY

Temp position for 3 months with the potential of going permanent

Hours: 35 per week. The service operates 7 day per week on a rota basis covering 5 day: 8am – 4pm or 12pm – 8pm. (Weekend Work also required – Every Third Weekend)

Must be a car driver, and own vehicle with business insurance: Expense back mileage 45 Pence Per Mile.

Must have an up to date Enhanced DBS check dated within the last 12 months.

What do we do?

We work to improve the lives of young people aged 16-21 years using our services by providing direct housing related support services, together with housing and property management to an individual or groups of young people in conjunction with the wider team and any appropriate external support agencies, with the aim of achieving a successful move-on and other measurable outcomes.

What is the role?

You will lead a dispersed team of workers
Working with young people and offering creative and innovative supported opportunities for them to improve their quality of life develop their skills and make decisions about their future.
Acting as individual ‘Keyworker’ to a group of identified young people, taking lead responsibility for the co- ordination and delivery of their support.
Drawing up and delivering support in accordance with a support plan drawn up during discussion between the young person and their Support Worker and / or Senior Support Worker.
Liaising effectively with service users, staff and external agencies and stakeholders.
Plan for and meet targets and deadlines whilst managing a diverse workload.
Support the Team Manager in achieving continuous improvement through use of audit compliance mechanisms.What you will need?

Experience of working with people in a health/housing support, and/or social care setting or similar in the statutory voluntary/community sectors.
Experience line managing a small staff team in the performance of their duties under the supervision of the Team Manager.
Experience of delivering high quality support services to individuals in a supported housing or community setting
Experience of dealing with safeguarding issues and demonstrable experience within either offending or substance misuse field.
The ability to assess the needs of people with offending/ substance misuse problems and formulate appropriate action plans.
An understanding of employment and training schemes, the move on process, community rehabilitation and other programmes is also essential.Have you worked within a Senior Support environment and are now looking to progress and take the next exciting step in your career? Yes!
