Senior Sales Engineer

Eden Scott’s client is an established, fast-moving laser photonics business, which is currently going through a period of signifcant growth and expansion into some exciting new internatonal markets. They cater for a wide range of applications including holography, metrology, spectroscopy, short-range LiDAR and quantum technology. The technology at the heart of their lasers is the culmination of decades of research including over 150 published papers and 40 secured patents.This is a role with global scope given the venture has already recorded customers in over 30 countries Worldwide. Having recently appointed a new Head of Sales, the business is hiring a brand-new sales & marketing team to help harness their unique products on a global scale and help translate engineering excellence into continued commercial success

The role

Due to expansion, the business is looking to recruit an ambitious Senior Sales Engineer to join the business and help drive their commercial strategy by developing new business in these emerging markets:

* Managing the sale of high-value laser optoelectronic products for a global customer base (USA, EMEA, Asia)

* Developing relationships with key customers and managing product lines to meet assigned sales targets.

* Generate and issue technical service reports to customers following site visits.

* Delivering quotations on new products to existing and potential customers

* Liaise with global manufacturers and internal engineering teams to create commercial solutions

* Opportunity to take ownership of international markets and progress career within an exciting field

The person

The ideal candidate would have a technical engineering background in the form of a Degree (Physics/Electronic Engineering/Mechanical Engineering) with 2+ years’ subsequent experience in an international commercial sales role and the desire to progress their career to the next level. You’ll have experience of end-to-end, full sales cycles and be able to build strong relationships with academic institutions, laboratories and commercial clients alike, in order to drive revenue for the business. You’ll have an interest in state-of-the-art technologies and a passion for business development. There will be lots of oportunities to progress your career and to play a pivotal role in expanding a business, with the help and collaboration of a really supportive and personable CEO and and Head of Sales, along with a newly formed team.

In return, there will be a competetive base salary, outstanding commission structure (OTE of roughly 50% of base salary) and excellent opportunity to progress within an innovative business at the forefront of Laser Development for a host of exciting markets.
