SEND Teacher – Academy – Southwark
Empowering Education is recruiting for a SEND Teacher for an Alternative Provision (Academy) in Southwark. The academy caters for pupils from KS3/4 who have varying degrees of Autism. The successful Teacher will cover all teaching duties and will have had previous experience working in a challenging SEND environment or with students with Autism. This academy is interviewing for this position to start in January 2021.

Caters for Autistic Spectrum students
In order to be considered for this role, the ICT Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:
Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree
Ideally QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Proven experience teaching the UK curriculum
Previous experience of working in a SEND environment with ASC
Physical Intervention Training (desirable)
Team Teach trained (desirable)
Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS/police checks
