TimePlan Education are working exclusively with a three form entry Primary School that are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their growing team to support students with complex needs across KS1.
Working as an SEN Teaching Assistant supporting a range of students with complex needs across KS1 supporting students 1:1 as well as within small groups.
Assisting students with their educational and social development, on an individual and group basis
Providing support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
Assisting teachers with the maintenance of student records
Building and maintaining successful relationships with students, whilst treating them with respect and consideration
Provide expertise to deliver a personalised curriculum for each pupil’s learning
Work together with families and other agencies to ensure every pupil is valued, challenged and supported
Experience of working with primary school pupils
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification or experience
Experience supporting complex needs such as : Autism, ADHD, Global Delay, Dyslexia
At least Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above
the ability to work supportively with parents to meet the needs of pupils
excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
competency in ICT skills
a competent working knowledge of safeguarding procedures and Keeping Children Safe in Education 2019
a positive attitude and willingness to make a significant contribution to the school
a creative and flexible approach to problem solving
an ability to be adaptable and manage your own time effectively
Read, Write Inc. training would be desirable (but not essential)
Based close to local transport links with bus, train and tube stations being easily accessible.
