Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working alongside one of our schools in Bidston, Wirral who are looking to add a behaviour specialist teaching assistant to their team. This school is seeking an individual with a background in SEMH who can work with both pupils with challenging behaviour. Targeted students have a range of needs including ADHD, ASD, SEMH and behavioural difficulties.

The main duties within the role will be:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis who struggle to manage their behaviour
Putting strategies in place to help children focus in and out of class
Liaising with the school SENCO around progress and areas for improvement
Creating bespoke reward plans to maximise engagement in class
Resolving situations where challenging behaviour has arisen
The school are looking for someone who:

Has experience of working in a school/similar setting
Is comfortable working with children who demonstrate challenging behaviour
Will be able to diffuse challenging situations
Can build relationships quickly with pupils with SEMH
Is available to work on a full-time basis
Has a proven record of excellent attendance and punctuality

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
