Exciting opportunity for a number of Quality Engineers to join a market leading manufacturing organisation to enable production to maintain and improve quality, cost and delivery performance by providing online technical support, standard operating procedures, assembly tooling and visual aids. Understanding, defining methods and supporting processes that meet and manage customer requirements. The successful applicants will be entered an environment in which they are exposed to a diverse range of industries; Aerospace, Defence, Security and Energy, and Medical to name but a few.
Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:
*Owning product quality
*Publishing and monitoring yield performance
*Quality lead for contract reviews / production readiness reviews / build reviews
*Quality lead for line support / production queries
*Carrying out returns material review / concession applications
*Root cause analysis
*Supporting internal audits
*Interacting with and liaising with customers
*Carrying out process capability analysis and effectiveness improvements
*Utilising Lean Manufacturing techniques and quality tools
*Leading quality improvement plans
*Performing yield analysis and identifying/leading CI projects
Quality Engineer Qualifications/Experience:
*Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
*Industry relevant certifications are desirable e.g. IPC
*Working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Quality and Process Improvement tools and techniques, D/PFMEA, Control Plans, Statistical Process Control
*Good Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and CAD and Gerber generation software experience
*ISO 9001, AS9100D working knowledge/auditing desirable
