We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Administrator to join our successful team in our busy Laboratory, on a full time basis, with earnings starting at £18,000 per annum.

We are the largest stem cell bank in the UK, having stored more samples than all other UK banks combined and have been established for over 19 years. We fully believe in the value of these services, as well as their present and future possibilities. We offer three core services for stem cell banking; umbilical cord blood, tissue and dental pulp.

Key Responsibilities:

Management of document control system;

Quality control check of collection kits;

Quality review of processing/monitoring QC Forms;

Document preparation and approval of sample release for storage;

Conduct internal audits of SOP’s, operators and laboratory procedures;

Management of supplier evaluation procedure;

Updates to QC Forms and SOP’s;

Recognising the procedure requirements for processing, testing, storage and disposal of human samples by reading, understanding and acknowledging the SOP’s;

Ensuring the accuracy and validity of sample data generated through completion of equipment calibration and adherence to SOP’s;

Ensuring the traceability of all samples through confirmation of sample codes and adherence to SOP’s;

Raising of deviations for investigation by the Quality Assurance Manager;

Key Skills:

A good understanding of the principles of Quality Assurance and compliance monitoring in regulated areas;

High attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to adapt in a fast paced environment;

Being able to work as part of an extremely busy team, as well as using own initiative with regards to problem solving;

Willingness to learn;

Good written and verbal communication skills;

Good computer literacy;

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels;

Terms & Benefits:

37.5 hours per week, 

Starting salary of £18,000 per annum;

23 days holiday (excluding bank holidays), rising to 25;

Contributory Company Pension Scheme;
