Brewster Partners are excited to recruit an experienced Procurement Manager to join a leading manufacturer in Rotherham.
As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing suppliers, people and processes, ensuring that supplies of finished product, raw material and services are maintained in a manner that supports the business requirements for cost, service, quality, safety and environmental levels.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage existing Raw Material and Service providers to ensure consistency of supply which underpins Production & subsequent customer demand levels
Build Relationships with key suppliers, remaining competitive within the industry
Managing Suppliers through the full Supply Chain including:
Sourcing/Tenders / Evaluation / recommendations
Raw Materials Stock Management
Day to Day Material Supply – Cost / Availability / Quality
Supplier Sustainability / Risk Management / Ethical issues
Develop a clear Procurement strategy
Prepare reports/presentations on market & future price trends and potential impacts
Manage the supply of Factored products which form a key part of the portfolio and are currently sourced across Europe & Turkey
Authorise & Validate Invoices / Price Changes across all suppliers
The Procurement Manager will be a resilient, confident negotiator with strong people management skills, successfully demonstrating your ability to agree supplier contracts. You will effectively work on your own initiative, identifying opportunities and proactively implement new ideas and identify solutions. A team player who is looking to join an established company and drive forward the transformation of the business.
The ideal candidate must have:
CIPS required (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply)
Qualified to Degree level in purchasing, supply chain management or a related area such as business or economics
10+ years’ experience in supply chain and/or procurement with the ability to add significant value to the UK Supply Chain and with the potential to develop further within the business
Able to demonstrate record of continuous improvement and achievement
Strong IT skills including SAP and ERP systems
A background in engineering or manufacturing industry is desirable
Salary £40,000 – £45,000pa
Hours of work – 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 4pm finish on a Friday
