This role requires a hands-on technician/junior eng with in depth knowledge and first-hand experience in the following areas: In addition to supporting NPI and Quality activities or programs.
Taking completed designs from Hardware team and from production orders and then kitting the components required to get the systems built. This will be done in house or through our CEM
Responsibility for the complete supply chain from orders to shipping.
Handling of PCB, component and assembly purchasing and the scheduling and progressing of the builds including all testing and packaging.
Requirement to source and purchase 3rd party items such as cables and other needed tools / accessories for production. Version 1.0 CyanConnode Confidential Page 2 of 2 Hands on activities including working with PCBAs, test equipment and able to rework + assemble PCBs
Follow guided testing processes of electronics and product assembly.
Provide basic design ability and support for the hardware development team.
Understand volume manufacturing of PCBA and box build products + control process and industry standard processes.
Understand CEM testing process and environments and be able to support CEMs.
Technical and Quality support to CEMs and external partners.
Experience and Skills
At least 4 years of experience in a similar role. Also the following experience
would be required:
A basic understanding of electronics and components.
Fault finding of circuit boards.
Ability to produce a prototype circuit on stripboard if presented with a circuit diagram.
Ability to test circuits if given suitable direction.
Comfortable with the idea of using tools to mount circuit boards / off the shelf parts in boxes / housings.
Following a circuit diagram to wire up series of off the shelf components such as relay board, power supplies, etc.
Running and evaluating the performance of circuits / prototypes under test when given suitable training.
· BTEC, HNC, A-level or equivalent in Electronics, Technology
The absolute minimum would be GCSE Electronics / Technology.
Good understanding and use of Microsoft Office.
Experience in using control tools or developing these in Excel or database.
Ideally, experience in working with hardware design CAD packages.
