Merchandise Planner – Homeware business – Full Time –

To provide full merchandising support to nominated customers through a variety of methods

To be responsible for the management of all post sale activity & demand planning for agreed confirmed lines/customers

Client Details

A leading multi- channel business based in Salford. They sell into some of the biggest UK retails such as Tesco & Wilko and also sells on Ecommerce Web platforms. Due to strong trading over the last 6 months and strong sales on their own branded product the business is looking for another Merchandise Planner to join the team.

Description

To raise and issue approved purchase requests to the buying team.
To advise any customer PO movement to the Buying team in a timely manner.
To raise and issue sales orders for customers, through various methods including EDI & manual entry where required.
To maintain a clear and 100% accurate sales order book on the company’s ERP system including dates, margin, quantity & price.
To be fully compliant with the customer EDI data
To chase from the Buying team all relevant shipment authorisation forms for domestic stock sign off.
Be fully aware of the customer’s delivery schedule to effect timely deliveries and prioritise availability to the customer when required.
To understand the customer’s forecast model maintaining an agreed in stock position at all times and reporting any out of stock issues to the relevant sales executive & customer as required.
To publish daily and weekly trading reports highlighting trends, threats and potential out of stock issues.
To actively use all customer data available to analyse sales – placing rebuys when required.
To raise all received forecasts to the companies’ ERP system
To manage and fully understand the company’s Critical Path ensuring all tasks are up to date at all times. Holding weekly meetings where required.
To ensure daily contact with the Buying team to ensure production is in line with the required plan, highlighting issues to the relevant sales executive and communicating any delays to the customer.
To maintain a positive customer relationship, through effective communication ensuring customers’ needs are dealt with in a professional manner.
To undertake monthly visits to key customers as necessary.
To complete all product rework forms as required
To carry out any additional duties as may reasonably be required.Profile
