Mechanical Project Manager (HVAC) – Full Time –


The company:

A fantastic M&E Contractor based in Leeds that has been around for over 30 years. They do all aspects of M&E including in-house design and work on a multitude of projects including but not limited to healthcare, education, retail and leisure.

The Ideal Candidate:

Will have previous experience in Ductwork Project Management.

Excellent Team Building and Communication skills.

Will have the ability to work under pressure and remain flexible with their working hours to ensure targets are met.

A good understanding of PC based applications such as Ensign ductwork software, Microsoft Office & Outlook are essential.

Be able to read and understand construction/manufacture drawings.

Be able to understand ductwork and air conditioning installation quality and ensure the company high standards are achieved by our in-house or sub-contract installers.


Full UK driving licence.

Engineering Design or Project Management qualifications (BTec or higher) looked upon favourably but not essential.

General Scope of Works


Take direction from the Manager – Projects.


Compile and set up documentation for project delivery process.


Discuss with client base future works as directed by Manager – Projects.


Attend site visits and/or meetings as needed to review program and quality.


Review CAD drawings against scope and specification for completeness prior to manufacture or installation.


Issue weekly/monthly internal/external reports as required.


Work with our Supervisors to ensure deliveries and site reports are being attended to.


Compile materials take-offs, generate quotes and place orders for site.


Prepare quotations for work using drawings, briefs, material lists, etc.


Request competitive prices from suppliers and sub-contractors.


Complete project financial review and cost forecasting.


Complete monthly applications for all projects.


Chase and sign-off incoming invoices.


Comply with all company procedures.


Ensure Company quality procedures are maintained.


Other duties as required and as directed.


Treat all documents/conversations as highly confidential.


Look for and pass on too Manager – Projects any perceived or real risk to Glidefield Engineering Systems.

Health & Safety

Check that all ongoing works are in line with current Risk and Method Statements.

Check and challenge any individuals that show a disregard for Health & Safety and report frequent offenders.

Comply with HSE&QA requirements.

Complete project specific RAMS.

Complete monthly Tool Box Talks.

Salary: £40000 – £50000/annum
