This Materials Planner opportunity is with a globally operating chemical manufacturing company on a 3-month contract (longer term work could be available). This company specialises in manufacturing chemical products for the healthcare sector and have seen a large increase in demand of their products throughout COVID.
Being successful in this Materials Planner position would mean working for a key manufacturer that has continued to operate throughout the outbreak and supply their critical chemical products to the Food and Healthcare sectors. Globally the group employs over 10,000 people.
Key responsibilities of the Materials Planner;
Materials Planner will schedule the supply of supplies/components to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels.
Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to production.
Materials Planner will be responsible for the management subcontract processes.
Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions.
Day-to-day material order management and management of deliveries.To be successful in this position as Materials Planner it is essential to be competent within SAP and Microsoft Office. Additionally, any experience working as a Materials Planner role or similar previously will be an advantage.
Working as a contract Materials Planner for this company could lead to further opportunities on this site or within the larger group, either contract or permanent.
