In this role you will be organising all inbound and outbound inter-site logistics for relevant Suppliers and Site demands. Placing orders via the ERP system and keep track of all active orders. Ensuring availability of goods and services to meet both direct and indirect requirement, liaising with suppliers to process and manage orders. Working effectively with other internal departments to provide any information they may need from logistics.
Our client is Europe’s leading online contact lens retailer who are looking for a Logistics professional to coordinate the inbound logistics activities across 4 Sites.
The successful candidate will join my clients operation near Camden as a Logistics Coordinator and will undertake the following roles and responsibilities:
Maintain Supplier/Courier relationships to ensure purchase orders are confirmed and delivered OTIF
Coordinate the status of 300+ open supplier purchase orders with warehouse and planning team
Proactively identify delayed orders and negotiate a resolution plan with suppliers and planning team
Arrange collection for EXW/FOB suppliers with couriers
Performing key administrative duties to ensure paperwork and supplier receipts are processed in a time sensitive manner and invoices are forwarded onto Finance Team.
Resolves issues with shortages/over deliveries with the warehouse and/or suppliers/couriers
Escalate shortages to planners to ensure additional products are ordered
Providing support to the supply chain team in relation to maintaining purchase order receipt updates.
Reconciling delivered quantities and product pricing against invoice/delivery notes and ERP.
Oversee the inter-site transfer activities to ensure stock arrives into the relevant site(s) as planned
Maintain an up-to-date schedule of Supplier deliveries
Contributing to continuous improvement projects to reduce freight spend and improve operational efficiencies
Supporting team in resolving warehouse/QC queries on demandProfile
The successful candidate will live within a commutable distance to my clients operation near Camden and hold the following skills and attributes:
Experience expediting supplier orders and coordinating courier collection and deliveries
Must be well organised and methodical with proven record
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office Packages.
Confident communicator in English, both via phone and email.
Must be highly numerate and confident with numbers and percentages
Ability to meet deadlines and work within a pressured environment
Excellent attention to detail
Team player but able to work on own initiative
Excellent Interpersonal skills
Someone self-motivated, determined and will be able to work to deadlines.
Previous logistics shipping experience.

Salary: £20000 – £21000/annum
