Our client is looking for a Paralegal, they will look at candidates from a Legal Assistant, Paralegal or Legal Secretary background to train up
A leading firm in Edinburgh city centre
Legal drafting including, but not limited to, agreements, legal correspondence, guidance notes and reports.
Adherence to regulatory, internal and external filing, publication and reporting requirements.
Developing process improvement initiatives.
Liaison with overseas legal counsels and agents, external legal counsel and third parties.
Co-ordination of entity board meetings and pre/post board meeting action points in conjunction with local company secretaries (including management of deadlines).
Preparation of board packs and various board documents (including agendas and reports).
Conducting legal research and proof reading.
Providing support in relation to the maintenance of fund offering documents using online and in-house systems including, but not limited to, iManage, SharePoint and Exchange sites.
Assisting departmental project implementation and project management.
Supporting collaboration between the Legal Department teams and the firm.
General administrative and office support to the Legal Department, such as document management services including preparing and circulating execution copy documents, arranging notarisation of documents and processing invoices.
Strong experience of MS Office
Experience of electronic document management systems (DMS) – iManage, or similar.
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining high quality of service
Proactive and flexible approach to work; collaborative team player with ability to work independently using own initiative
Commitment to Continuing Professional Development
Excellent presentation, and written and oral communication skills
Proven experience in a Legal Assistant/Paralegal role or eagerness and ability to quickly pick this role up
Experience in asset management or professional services (desirable)
Accredited Paralegal qualification or similar (desirable)
