IT Support – Basingstoke
£35,000 p/a depending on experience
We are currently recruiting for an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our client on a permanent basis in Basingstoke, our client specialises in Cash Management experience in this market is preferred but not essential. The main purpose of this role if to provide third line support for a range of software products, this will include acting as an escalation point and direct end user contact.
This role offers a rewarding salary of up to £35,000 per annum, with an on call bonus and very generous benefits.
Key Responsibilities for the IT Support Specialist
·Become and remain an expert in the ECM software suite of products and the environments they operate.
·Provide 24/7, third line technical support for the ECM products:
·Field incoming help requests from end users and internal staff via telephone and email in a courteous manner (this may include out of hours support calls)
·Maintain an end-user support database, recording all necessary information on client and individual installation details
·Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases and frequently asked questions to aid in problem resolution.
·Troubleshoot and resolve operational and technical issues for end-users, and assist with end user questions or general inquires
·Prioritize and schedule actions to solve problems, escalating when required to the Level 4 development team.
·Produce Monthly service documentation as required by customers
·Attend Customer site to diagnose support issues or support software implementations or service review meetings as necessary
·Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.
·Manage internal release management of software releases (including licensing), apprising customers and internal staff of changes and upcoming developments in the ECM software applications.
·Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot test lab hardware, networked peripheral devices and networking hardware products
·Graduate with degree in software related discipline.
·Certifications and/or formal technical training in MS Operating Systems, A+ Certification and MS Office applications with proven hands on experience.
·Knowledge of MS Internet Information Services (IIS) Unix, Linux, VMWare & Citrix, Oracle or SQL Server Database
·Good knowledge of transact SQL scripting (Data Manipulation, writing stored procedures etc)
