About the role:
My client is looking for an experienced hydrologist to provide expert input into a diverse range of projects. They need someone who will provide high quality advice in support of their projects to resolve the impacts of pollution from abandoned metal, and coal, mines.
The role would ideally suit somebody from a water or environmental engineering background.
You’ll have practical experience of hydrology, and hydrometry; i.e. measuring flows, and installing structures.
You’ll be helping them understand the polluting impact of old mines on water catchments, both now, and in the future due to their proposed changes. You’ll have experience of analysing catchment based flow and quality data in the context of source apportionment, and catchment characterisation work.
You’ll have excellent qualifications, including a degree in an Environmental based subject covering relevant elements of hydrology.
You’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus the ability to manage and prioritise a high-volume workload.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
