MPI have a requirement for HR Advisors to be based at Collingwood – but some remote working will be involved.
Immediate start subject to various Security Checks. You may also be required to apply for DBS background check if selected which will cost you £25.00 – Do not apply for this unless requested to do so. BPSS will also be required if selected.
This contract is for approx 5 months initially (possible extension but not guaranteed)
Working hours Mon-Thur 8hrs, Fri 5hrs
Rates: from £16.11 PAYE to £17.15 per hour PAYE dependant on experience or
£20.95 – £22.24 per hour LTD

General Description of Job:-
In support of the transition to Project Selborne, deliver professional and pro-active operational HR advice and support to managers across all sites and produce management information required to support operations and inform decision making.
Working closely with managers, provide pro-active professional HR advice and support based on company policy, employment law and best practice.
Proactively manage a varied employee relations caseload, dealing with complex and sensitive matters, and ensuring successful and timely resolution.
Support the design, delivery and implementation of HR initiatives and projects and contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, taking a lead role where required.
Work with Occupational Health and line managers to ensure the wellbeing of staff through effective attendance management, education and health surveillance.
Support the effective implementation of organisational changes
Responsible for producing a range of accurate and timely management information and supporting monthly absence reporting requirements as required.
Work as a collaborative member of the team supporting payroll processing and other administrative tasks
Responsible for ensuring confidentiality and integrity of all HR information in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other relevant legislation and codes of practice.
Undertake any other general HR or training related tasks as required.
Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.

Technical Qualifications and Experience:-
CIPD qualified Level 5 or equivalent – Essential
Experience in a generalist HR role at an advisory level – Essential
Experience of managing a complex and varied caseload – Essential
Strong knowledge of current and forthcoming employment law – Essential
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) – Essential
Strong excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting) – Essential
Experience of using HR systems and reporting tools, ideally Success Factors – Essential
Knowledge and experience of handing confidential and sensitive information – Essential
Experience of working with trade union representatives – Desirable
Demonstrate knowledge and experience of TUPE regulations – Desirable
Knowledge and experience of consultations, change management and reorganisations – Desirable
Demonstrates knowledge and application of policies and procedures across the full employee lifecycle
Commercial and pragmatic approach to providing solutions to people issues
Demonstrates an ability to prioritise and respond to changing business needs
Ability to establish good and effective relationships at all levels
