Circumstance’s change. Priorities change. Availability changes.
But your capability, commitment and value hasn’t.
Typically, businesses want and need people to work a full week within normal business hours.
It’s frustrating for you because this working pattern no longer fits with your lifestyle. You’ve amassed a wealth of experience, consistently delivered good results and still have the desire to operate at a high level – but chances to do this are few and far between.
Well, there’s an opportunity here for you to fit work into your life.
Now we’ve removed the obstacle, let’s talk about what you’ll be doing…
You’ll have HR business partnership responsibility; this isn’t about the title, it’s about the act of business partnering. You’re got a natural coaching style which will enable you to build rapport with the management team and help develop them on their journey – from Managers, into Leaders. You’ll analyse the Org Design and identify opportunities around efficiencies, succession planning and strategic workforce planning. You’ll be supporting the Senior Team with change projects whilst managing the engagement of the wider workforce to ensure people are participating in the journey. You’ll also be involved with and manage the usual (or sometimes not so usual!) day-to-day situations and responsibilities of being a Site HR Lead.
As for your background – you’ll be able to show where and when you’ve been involved with the above challenges. Ideally, you’ll have exposure to the manufacturing or engineering world, or a similar environment. As for your approach, you’ll be able to see that there’s a solution to all problems and be instrumental in building cohesive team dynamics, across multiple business functions.
The business is an international manufacturing and engineering organisation, supporting a wide range of industry sectors with their diverse and technologically advanced product portfolio – with engagement and empowerment at the centre of their core values. The site manufactures engineered components and there’s a team of about sixty in total.
If this sounds like the opportunity you’ve been looking for, then send us a copy of your CV. If you haven’t got one or it needs updating, we can help you with that too. All applications will get a response, even if it isn’t the one you were hoping for.
