HEAD PHARMACEUTICAL MICROBIOLOGIST
Salary £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
Based close to Daventry, Northamptonshire
Monday to Friday 8.30am until 5.30pm
Our pharmaceutical client based close to Daventry, Northamptonshire is looking to recruit a Head Pharmaceutical Microbiologist.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy laboratory working on QC testing of our finished products.
To routinely test raw materials, finished products, stability samples and investigational samples using microbiological techniques (PET, TAMC/TYMC).
To routinely perform environmental monitoring for clean room, bacterial endotoxins and sterility testing.
Performing gowning qualification, autoclave operation and bio indicators enumeration and disinfectant study for sterile facility.
Responsible for microbiological test implementation of new compounds: method development, validation and documentation.
To perform cleaning validation by using swab/contact technique.
Purified water testing, WFI testing and growth promotion test for media using in-house procedures.
To test and report results to GMP standards as per the company SOPs.
To write reports, SOPs and other documentation when required including monitoring and trending of microbiological data.
Any other duties as and when required.Requirements:
Minimum – Science based degree or equivalent in microbiology or biological science.
Experience working in a pharmaceutical quality department in clean room/sterile environment.
Deep understanding and proven application of cGMP regulations and international guidelines in a sterile/clean room area.
Experience in disinfectant validation, environmental monitoring in clean
Capable of working to deadlines and prioritise multiple tasks with flexibility to change based on priority.Please apply in the first instance with a copy of your CV.
