Based in Cambridge this is a fantastic new opportunity to join a growing start-up as Head of Physics working with a talented, innovative and ambitious people who are seeking to develop and commercialise a disruptive technology.

The Head of Physics will lead the current team, maintaining current capabilities and be responsible for growing the team as the company expands. This will include leading and motivating a technically skilled team of physicists and biophysicists, delivering technical projects and working on collaborative projects with other technology companies.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Physics or Biophysics with experience in an industrial or academic environment with a technical competence in either Biophysics, Microfluidics, MEMS or Biotechnology. Additionally a background or experience in:

* Leading a medium sized team in a commercial or academic environment

* Ability to use basic physical concepts (diffusion, heat-transfer and fluid flow)

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Taking products through to manufacture would be beneficial, but not essential.
