If you are a graduate, with some experience of working with children, you may well be considering finding a position as a teaching assistant before embarking upon an initial teacher training course. Gaining long term experience of working in the classroom will allow you to feel confident when starting your PGCE, School Direct, or Teach First course. I am recruiting a graduate teaching assistant for a large primary school based in North West London. The school’s latest Ofsted report assessed them as Outstanding and the standard of leadership and management is comparable with the best in the borough.
They are seeking a strong, confident and engaging graduate who is passionate about education.
You will be taken on as a teaching assistant- supporting pupils in the classroom, carefully guiding and helping them to make good progress in key areas. Being flexible and willing to take on all challenges is a must, as you will be supporting key stage 2 pupils in small groups, or on a one to one level.
