Executive/ Head Chef
£40,000 – £45,000 per annum + Pension + bonus potential
Working 5/7 shifts
This role will be part of a new opening consisting of multiple corporate offices in a new and exciting concept which will be an urban playground with restaurants, pop-up food stalls and shops, events and entertainment. My client is looking for an experienced Executive/Head Chef who truly understands Food and how to create menus inspired by traditional Scottish cuisine but with an innovative touch. A chef who can also create menus from a multitude of cultures to create an authentic dish for special events and customer requirements.
An exceptional chef that has had the benefit of a diverse career across 4/5* Hotels, Restaurants, Contract caterers or innovative Pop up street food outlets.
This is a truly unique opportunity which will see you managing a brigade of up to 8+ chefs catering for up to 5000 colleagues on site and guests from the community.
Development, creation and implementation of the food menus across all outlets on site
Engaging with local food suppliers that reflect the client’s vision and quality ethos
Inspire a team to meet the campus spirit to offer unique food and beverage experiences to every customer
Keeping colleagues, visitor’s and clients safe while on site with the safety tools available to you
To lead the food team to ensure all company and statutory regulations pertaining to health & safety, hygiene & fire are adhered to at all times
Operate to meet the budget requirements and deliver the required service standards
To review financial and operational performance monthly in the required format to present internally and to forecast and drive the business around cost leadership
To ensure that team members understand their purpose and standards of operation and to continue to drive Service Excellence through the team
Experience, attributes and Certification:
Exceptional leadership skills with core competencies around developing a vision, strategic leadership and team engagement
Extensive experience in an Executive Chef or Senior Head chef position
Diverse and broad experience across a multitude of venues from Hotels, restaurants, contract caterers to branded multi-site venues, street or pop up venues.
Multi-site or single site management demonstrating continuous improvement with a turnover of more than £2m and operating on a commercial basis
Experience mobilising new contracts & demobilising existing sites is essential
Demonstration of senior Customer engagement for a contract of more than 4000 FTE
Professional qualification in Food, Catering and/or Hospitality
