The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and confident Designer to join our team at Pasquill, based in Uddingston. The hours for this role will be Monday-Friday 8:00-16:30. To deliver profitable sales and development of customer platform through outstanding customer service and design excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a customer portfolio
Produce customer quotations, following the Pasquill ‘Six Step Enquiry and Quote Process’
Identify actions to improve conversion rate of quotations
Produce high quality designs for customers within given timescales
Identify opportunities to maximise sales opportunities by asking for add on sales
Make pre and post quote telephone calls to customers
Make post-delivery phone calls, using the opportunity to identify areas for improvement to our service
Build good relationships with customers; make them feel valued
Resolve customer queries and complaints using problem solving techniques
Carry out sales and margin analysis by customer, customer segment and product
Seek feedback from customers and colleagues in order to self-develop
Adopt and share best practice to ensure continuous improvement
Develop customer platform by customer segment
Take action to reduce number of OFIs (Opportunity for Improvement) due to design quality and delivery performanceWhat we are looking for in a Designer

CAD experience (essential)
Previous sales and design experience in engineered timber (preferred)
Understanding of building regulations and relevant legislation (preferred)
High level of education (preferred)
Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Numeracy, literacy and spatial awareness skills
Excellent communication skills; able to communicate effectively at all levels
Commercial understanding of margin and profit
Problem solving skills
Time management skills and able to prioritise effectively
Effective questioning and listening skills to identify customer requirements
Good telephone skills
Results focused
