Construction Technician – Leeds – Modular Home Builder

Grafton Recruitment are working with one of the UKs leading modular home builders to source candidates for their large scale factory in East Leeds. We are supporting a ramp up in Production to meet ever-increasing customer demand with the recruitment of Construction Technicians.

PURPOSE
To assemble CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) panelled modules within a factory environment to construct modular homes. Basic construction skills are required as well as the ability to take learning from previous builds; amend, adapt and develop to create a consistent approach which will standardise and simplify construction. You should also be able to read and interpret Architectural drawings.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
NVQ Level 2 in Construction, Cold Formed Steel Frames or Mechanical Assembly

Experience working with timber onsite is key
Experience in an assembly environment working to Health & Safety regulations and Quality Standards
A License and experience operating overhead cranes is desirable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Driven and motivated with a very keen eye for detail

A competitive salary and benefits are offered for this role including pension contribution, share scheme and on site canteen and parking. Shift times are 7am to 4.30pm and all PPE is provided.
