The Community Development Officer is an incredibly important role, you really will make a huge difference in the local community and to residents.
You will identify, plan and deliver a range of community development projects, campaigns and events that are in line with what the local residents and community want.
Form partnerships with voluntary groups, external agencies and third sectors to ensure a wide range of interesting activities are delivered in the community.
Continue to promote the organisation’s values of putting the residents and community first.
Develop and strengthen relationships with residents and partner agencies.
Secure funding for community development opportunities.
Promote the community work to ensure the community are aware of the activity.
Find way to improve engagement and participation in the local community.

To be considered for this Community Development Officer role you will:
It is absolutely essential that you enjoy working with people and customers.
Be able to demonstrate compassion, overcoming challenges and able to engage with a range of stakeholders including residents / Boards.
Have experience of engaging with people in the community and further developing these links.
Forming and supporting partnerships and community groups.
With regard to sector you could have worked for a local authority, housing association, charity, school, academy, university, MOD – any sector where you will have gained the relevant experience and have transferable skills.Job Offer
