Leaders In Care is seeking a highly experienced Commissioning Care Home Manager to support our client’s plans to lead the commissioning and launch of their purpose-built, 30-bed complex-needs service in Birmingham, providing care and support to people with neurological/physical disabilities and mental ill-health. Do you have healthcare service commissioning experience and want to earn £65k to £70k?

While our client’s home is not due to open until March, the successful applicant will start as soon as possible. In return for your visionary approach, you’ll be paid up to £70,000 pa with the chance to earn up to 25 per cent of your annual salary upon achievement of KPIs.

Benefits of this post include:

27 days’ paid holidays per year plus statutory days
BUPA single-cover life assurance
Pension plan
CPD – including leadership and management development programmes

As the commissioning director of the new home, you’ll have the autonomy to implement your design, recruit your team and pave the way to creating an outstanding service that puts the residents front and centre. From the laying of the first foundation, you’ll lead the home’s commissioning from choosing colour schemes and layouts to drawing up budgets, maximising occupancy and building solid relationships with local authorities. This is not your usual 9-5 role: it requires some flexibility, but the job will be highly rewarding.

A nursing qualification (RN) with a current PIN is essential. You’ll need to have previous registered service management or change management experience, or worked for multiple sites/homes in a regional role, preferably in the independent sector working with younger adults. Ideally, you’ll have successfully commissioned a new service. You’ll also need to be up to date with evidence-based practise and have a working knowledge of CQC standards and regulations.

If you think you’re the perfect fit for this challenging but fulfilling Birmingham-based role, please call Leaders In Care today or call Tom Sims on (phone number removed).
