Fantastic opportunity for a Chief Financial Director. Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic CFO to partner with the CEO in an established Plc. This is a permanent position based in Bedfordshire paying up to £140,000 plus a 30 percent discretionary bonus.
The ideal applicant would have prior experience in similar role and have operated at Executive Director level in a medium to large complex and stand-alone service organisation.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Direct responsibility for the Company’s Finance, Tax, Pensions, Audit, Payroll and Investor Relations
Develop the finance team, providing regular communication and briefings of the Group’s strategy and expectations of the Board in relation to the Group’s objectives, culture, values, attitudes and behaviours and ensuring that operational policies and practices help drive those appropriately
Administrative responsibility for oversight of the externally appointed auditors and the successful completion of annual audited financial statements and the annual report, and timely submission to the Audit Committee
Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all the Company’s internal and external financial reporting statements and full compliance with all laws and regulations
Partnering with the CEO in ensuring the development and execution of business strategies that deliver increasing shareholder value year on year
Provide effective day-to-day oversight of the Company’s governance, controls and financial performance
Challenge and contribute constructively to Board decision making, using the skills and experience they possess and those generally expected of a Director with a speciality in finance.Person Spec
Professional accounting qualification
Degree Educated in Finance related subject
Evidence of continuous personal and professional development (e.g. MBA)
Operating at Executive Director level in a medium to large complex and stand-alone service organisation
Strategic planner and visionary capable of translating the service strategy into effective financial policy and objectives
