Circle Reading Hospital (Private Healthcare Provider) is growing and we have an opportunity for a Medical Secretory to join the Admin Team on an ad hoc basis. We opened in 2012, Circle Reading has 30 inpatient beds, 20 day case beds and 15 consultation rooms for outpatient appointments. This state of the art building has 5 theatres, equipped with the latest technologies and an extensive physiotherapy department. Circle Reading developed the look and feel of care first tried in Bath and sees approximately 4,500 patients each month and around 600 of these are day case patients.
Role & Responsibilities:
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual who can provide efficient and high quality secretarial and administrative cover to consultants and their teams during periods of annual leave and sickness. A bank medical secretary will be required to work in close co-operation with staff and other health professionals to ensure a first class service and be able to cover periods of up to 2 weeks (annual leave).
To be an active and supportive member of the department’s administrative and clerical team on an ad-hoc basic. RSA II audio typing or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year’s secretarial experience.
Ensure that patients and visitors are communicated with effectively and politely, and patient focus is maintained. To ensure that any enquiries are handled in a courteous and tactful manner and problems are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
To have the ability to retrieve information from hospital support systems,(e.g.) access and navigate Practice Manager (DGL) in order to obtain information on outpatient appointments, and access and navigate systems to obtain test results
