Engineer Stores Coordinator
Port of Liverpool

30hrs – Full time shifts available.
Temporary ongoing position.

You will be:

Responsible for the equipment used within the Stores work Environment.
Ultimately responsible for the equipment used within their direct and indirect reporting lines

You will need to:

Use your initiative to solve problems, deliver solutions and help drive the department forward.
Have the ability to react to operational situations in a timely manner at all times.
Be able to react to Health & safety and operational situations in a timely manner at all times.
Lliaise with Delivery Managers and Stakeholders on a daily basis to ensure equipment uptime targets are consistently met within the Containers Business Unit.
Ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times to internal and external customers, through PDCA systems.
Maintaining accurate stock control whilst continuously reviewing and managing stock turn over to improve efficiencies and cost.
Proactively eliminate any potential component shortfalls that may lead to a breakdown, interruptions of preventative maintenance or delivery shortfalls in customer demand spares.
Engage with supply chain as a 1st line purchaser, ensuring any issues that may impact operational effectiveness are resolved and to ensure parts, equipment and services arrive on time all the time
Liaise with stores personnel on a daily basis to determine priorities, ensure KPI’s are met and to advise of any shortage and / or ordering issues that may impact delivery of the plan
Attend and contribute to production/planning meetings
Update CMMS (SAP EAM) in a timely manner (Real-time issuing of parts).
Upkeep of all relevant records and certification
Assist management in the maintenance and control of all procedures and systems relevant to ISO quality and environmental standards
Assist in the delivery of regular stock takes
Assist with general Stores Duties such as Receipting deliveries, Issuing Parts, Kitting requests, as and when required
Support the Delivery Managers with any recommended engineering-related changes
Any other ad-hoc duties.
You will have:

Engineering experience
Experience in using S.A.P and competent in using technology.
Excellent communication & organisational skills
