Software Engineer VS.Net (C++ and / or C#) required by this industry leading design/manufacturers of a diverse range of specialist products. Your role will be to maintain and develop the current windows based software for the company’s products.

As part of a team of software engineers, initially, you will work within the company’s quality management system addressing software problems raised by our service department, customers, and those arising from system testing of the products.

Once you have a proven track record, you will be given the opportunity to take on project work to develop new software features for these products. There are many opportunities to learn new technologies in a fast moving and exciting development environment with excellent career prospects.

Applications are invited from candidates with sound commercial experience of working within a structured software development environment and of writing software design specifications and unit testing. It will be essential for you to demonstrate a working knowledge of the following: Visual Studio .Net 2003/2005 C++ and/or C# User Interface Design using Visual Studio. The use of a source control system. Any Experience of the following will be an advantage but not essential: Matlab / Simulink Embedded software experience. Senior Analyst Developer (C#, .Net, SQL, Biztalk, Sharepoint) required to join a cutting edge Award Winning I.T department, this really is an exciting place to work, based at the companies purpose built UK Head Office in Nottingham.

Working on internal company projects you will have to use your skills to balance high quality, functionality, best practice with simplicity, cost and delivery speed without practically compromising reliability and maintainability.

You will head projects within a small but highly skilled development team whilst coordinating with other areas of IT to obtain maximum benefit from the company’s investment in people and technology. You will need to be highly skilled in software development using our core technologies, C# and .NET, plus have specific expertise in at least one of our strategic Microsoft products: Commerce Server, Biztalk, Sharepoint or SQL.

Successful candidates will have extensive experience using numerous Microsoft technologies (particularly .NET in a SOA architectures) on commercial projects and have demonstrable coding skills to a high standard.

Although this will primarily be C# in a Visual Studio environment, confidence within other environments such as scripting and web are also useful. Must have either testing experience or if not then have the potential to apply development skills to testing.
